What’s In It for You?
A Certified Parent Educator will provide home visits on a weekly or biweekly basis.
The goal of the visits are as follows:
- Promote strong parent-child interaction
- Increase quality time with your child
- Increase knowledge of child development
- Facilitate family well-being
- Free books at every visit
- Developmental screenings
- Assist with setting and achieving personal goals
- Cultural Education
Center-Base
Ages 3 Years-3RD Grade
What’s In It For You?
- Free Preschool (ages 3-5) with integrated Potawatomi language education
- Increase quality time with your child
- Weekly participation in Parent and Child Together (PACT) within your child’s classroom
- Weekly Parent Time, where you engage with other participants in the program
- Cultural education and activities for adults
- Guest speakers on a variety of topics including health, nutrition, parenting, safety, education, budgeting and more.
Adult Education
- Adults learn job skills, work on high school completion, GED, computer literacy, culture and language, etc.
- Adults share and learn more about parenting.
- Group choice of Parent Time activities.
- Adults spend quality time with their child-no house cleaning, cooking, other interruptions.
- Adults play with and teach their children.
- Transportation and meals provided.
- Meet Monday – Thursday; 8:30-3:00.
Group Meetings
Monthly meetings of center and home base families.
- Variety of topics.
- Free transportation, meals, childcare.
- Chance to meet with other parents.
